  • Episode 12 - SPOILER: Although the showrunners have stated unequivocally that what Greg does to Joan in Roger's office is rape, it is strongly implied that Joan may not have understood it as such because during the time this episode is set (1962) and for about 15 years afterward, marital or "date" rape were not l
  • Episode 10 - When the characters are on the plane at the end, the song playing is the 1962 space-age instrumental called Telstar (named after the AT&T communications satellite) by the music group The Tornados.
  • Episode 02 - Action takes place around the day of March 1st, 1962 (including the day before and the day after), which is the date the real American Airlines Flight 1 crashed on Jamaica Bay.
