Character Bio

The English financial officer installed by Sterling Cooper's new British parent company. He first appears in the first episode of Season 3. His role so far has been that of a strict taskmaster to bring spending under control especially by cutting out frivolous expenses. His efforts are so successful that he was to be sent to India to enact cost-cutting measures, a move which Pryce was not looking forward to making after having settled in with his wife and child. An unfortunate accident at work debilitated his replacement, thus allowing Pryce to keep his current position. Pryce is warming to American culture, and foresees some form of cultural and societal changes in his observations on American race relations.

Lane Pryce Quotes
![]() | Season 4 / Episode 8: - The Summer Man Joan Harris: I really think this vending machine is a trouble maker. Lane Pryce: I think it's been a great success. Revenue is climbing. I was gonna suggest we get a sandwich machine. We'd probably get 40% of the work force keeping busy through lunch. Joan Harris: Or we'd end up with a bunch of fat secretaries who think the whole afternoon is lunch time because there's always another sandwich around the corner. |
![]() | Season 4 / Episode 2: - Christmas Comes But Once a Year Lane Pryce: There's been a small adjustment to the scale of our Christmas party. Joan Harris: Lower or higher? Lane Pryce: Lee Garner Jr. will be joining us. I trust you'll make the appropriate improvements. Roger Sterling: Well, I don't. We need to change its rating from convalescent home to Roman orgy. |
