Episode Quotes
 | Season 4 / Episode 2: - Confirmed Dead
Ben Linus: I know it's not pleasant but, let's face it, you really don't stand a chance now... James 'Sawyer' Ford: Chance of what? Ben Linus: James. Look at yourself. Yes, on this island you're brave, daring, handsome, you're someone... but if you left with them, back in the real-world, a low-life scam artist like you could never compete with a first class surgeon. I think Kate was really upset when you made your choice to come with us. Thank God she has Jack there to comfort...

MISTAKES/GOOFS
- FAKE: Charlotte, hanging in a tree, releases her parachute and plunges into a pond so muddy as to be opaque. The next shot shows her underwater in a crystal clear pond, perhaps even a film production tank. In the following shot she surfaces again in the muddy pond.
- PLOT: According to Ben in this episode, Charlotte was born in 1979. However, in Season 5, you see Charlotte as a 5-year-old in 1977.
- PLOT: When Ben is trying to save himself from Locke, he recites Charlotte's bio, including her date of birth. He says 1979 was the year she was born. However, in the Season 5 episode "Lafleur" we see a young Charlotte in the Dharma Barracks in 1974.
TRIVIA
- The character Charlotte Staples Lewis' name is derived from the late Clives Staples Lewis, better known as C.S. Lewis, the late Irish author and scholar known for his writings on Christian apologetics, and most famously, the children's series The Chronicles of Narnia.
- Daniel Faraday's name is based on Michael Faraday who was a famous physicist. This is interesting because Michael Faraday discovered a relationship between light rays and electromagnetism and Daniel mentions the scattered light on the island.
- The Numbers: The number 15 can be seen on a poster in the room Miles visits in his flashback.
- We now learn that Frank Lapidus was supposed to be the pilot of Oceanic flight 815, not Seth Norris, the pilot who was killed by the Monster.
- The serial numbers on the tail of the helicopter that Frank Lapidus lands on the island are "N842M." 8 and 42 are both in the sequence of Hurley's "numbers."
