MISTAKES/GOOFS

CONT: SPOILER: When Ben shoots John Locke and he falls into the pit, blood is clearly seen on his hand before he puts his hand on the wound. In the next shot of him lying there, it is gone, and back again in the shot after that.
FACT: During a flashback, a teacher informs the class that sodium bicarbonate will react with water to create "lava" for their small scale volcano. In reality, an acid such as vinegar is necessary to cause a reaction, thus causing the sodium bicarbonate to release C02.
DATE: In one of Ben's flashbacks to his childhood, his father drinks DHARMA Initiative beer. The cans have wide mouth openings - but this type of can wasn't first manufactured until much more recently.

TRIVIA

The part of Jacob had not been cast at the time of his appearance in ‘The Man Behind the Curtain’. The body of Jacob was played by a crew member and the voice was that of producer Carlton Cuse.
Ben's Dharma Initiative jumpsuit is different from those worn by other characters - it doesn't have a Dharma logo on it, and is a slightly lighter color.
'Carrie Preston', who plays Emily Linus (mother of Benjamin Linus) is in fact the real life wife of Michael Emerson (I) who plays the older Benjamin Linus.
