Character Bio

Eko, also known as Mr. Eko, was one of the tail section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. He has also been referred to as Eko Tunde, although this may be an alias. He was a notorious war lord and drug smuggler in Nigeria before his brother Yemi's death. To get out of his country, he pretended to be a priest, but after Yemi's death, he seemed to take his role more seriously. Eko survived on the Island for 72 days before he was killed by the Monster.
Mr. Eko Quotes
 | Season 3 / Episode 5: - The Cost Of Living
Mr. Eko: I ask for no forgiveness father for I have not sinned, I have only done what I needed to do to survive. A small boy once asked me if I was a bad man, if I could answer him now I would tell him, that when I was a young boy I killed a man to save my brothers life. I am not sorry for this, I am proud of this. I did not ask for the life that I was given but it was given none the less, and with it I did my best. |
 | Season 2 / Episode 23: - Live Together, Die Alone
Mr. Eko: Charlie! Do you know how they got the hatch door open?
Charlie Pace: No, but if you hum it, I can probably play it.
Mr. Eko: How did they open it - the door that says "quarantine"? |
