  • Episode 22 - NBC intended that this season would be the last of the series. Due to strong ratings, however, NBC renewed the series for a fifth season and beyond.
  • Episode 16 - In the episodes "Little House on the Prairie" (1974) {Journey in the Spring: Part 1 (#3.6)} and "Little House on the Prairie" (1974) {I Remember, I Remember (#4.16)} the youngster, Charles Ingalls was well acted by Matthew Labyorteaux.   • Episode 14 - Goof (continuity error): Laura has a crush on a boy named Jimmy Hill. However, when she mentions the same character in the episode "The Return of Nellie", she refers to him as Jeremy Dodds.
  • Episode 13 - Goof (crew or equipment visible): As Charles and Doc Baker are racing the Indians out of town, the scene cuts to a close-up shot of them on the wagon, and as Doc Baker climbs in the back, a crew member's hand complete with wrist watch is very noticeable on the bottom right corner.
