Summary: Nels getting his head cut off? That's what Laura thinks she saw, and the Oleson kids take advantage of that.

Willie Oleson: She said that you cut off Ma's head!

Carrie Ingalls: [Awakens frightened] It's too dark, I'm scared!
Caroline Ingalls: I knew it, those ghost stories. [Walked into Carrie's room] What's wrong, Carrie?
Carrie Ingalls: I saw something.
Caroline Ingalls: What was it?
Carrie Ingalls: I don't know, it moved.
Caroline Ingalls: Where?
Carrie Ingalls: Down there, under my cover.
Caroline Ingalls: Here?
Carrie Ingalls: Yes, ma'am.
Caroline Ingalls: Carrie, [uncovers Carrie's feet] those are your feet.
Carrie Ingalls: I'm afraid of feet.
Caroline Ingalls: Now, there's nothing to be afraid of.
Carrie Ingalls: [Looking more frightened, and a tear begins to drop]
Caroline Ingalls: Come on. [Tucks Carrie in] There, is nothing to be afraid of. [Kisses Carrie] Now, go back to sleep.
Carrie Ingalls: [Something moving, under Carrie's covers and, it appears to be her dog Jack, and screamed] MA!

Mary Ingalls: When we get to town, why don't you stop by the Olsen's and see Mrs. Olsen for yourself.
Laura Ingalls: I don't want to see her!
Mary Ingalls: Why not?
Laura Ingalls: Because she doesn't have a head.
