This is a where am I? when am I? Our hero is from the future or is he? Is he mad? or dreaming? A realistic look at 1970s Life and policing it is a show to keep you interested until the end. BTW please only post reviews here not comments or questions which should be in the forums. Thankyou Quark - Moderator |

A brilliant series, unquestionably. And yet... On the BBC forums about this show, there were a whole lot of us who felt we were sold out at the end of season 2. The question that was never properly resolved, was "what is Sam's reality?". If 2006 is a figment of his imagination, then the whole of the 21st century world that we know, and that Sam refers to throughout both seasons, must also be a figment of his imagination. That makes us, the audience, also figments of his imagination. And yet, if 2006 is real and the world of 1973 is a figment of Sam's imagination, then how can "Ashes to Ashes" deal with Gene Hunt in 1981, when Sam himself is not in that series at all? Anyone want to offer an alternative game theory of this drama? |

One of the best British shows I've seen in a while. It kept me on the edge of my seat or laughing my socks off through the whole series. The characters were brilliant especially those of Gene Hunt and Sam Tyler. I can't wait for the sequel series,'Ashes to Ashes'. |
