Mistakes/Goofs

• Goof (anachronisms): Serial killer Victor Paul Gitano is said to have been spotted on the 9 train. The 9 train was eliminated (replaced by the 1) several months before this episode was filmed.
• Goof (factual errors): While the cops are watching the videotaped therapy session featuring killer Victor Paul Gitano (Lou Diamond Phillips), the image of his face zooms from a mid-shot to a close-up while he is talking. A genuine videotape of a therapy session would show the subject from the same angle and apparent distance from the camera throughout. A mid-session zoom would require a third person present to work the camera, and a therapist would not want another person in the room because that would compromise doctor-patient confidentiality.
• Goof (revealing mistake): The killer's name is established several times in dialogue as Victor Paul Gitano. However, in one scene, a computer readout gives his first name as Vincent. His mug shot, also appearing in this scene, gives the correct name, Vincent. Also, in that scene, his middle name in the mug shot is given as Paul, whereas the middle name given in the computer readout is Carl.
• Goof (errors in geography): Sing Sing Prison is located in Ossining, New York not in Ossing, New York.
