Main Characters in this Episode
Detective Elliot Stabler: Ah, Mr. Gorman's. His penis and testicles were cut off. And they're still missing.
Detective Elliot Stabler: You think he 'wanted' his Johnson wacked off?
- Goof (errors in geography): The opening scene was shot in the Exchange Place PATH (Port Authority Trans Hudson) station in Jersey City, NJ. The giant escalator and colorful neon lights are unmistakable. At some point Stabler says: "Here comes the Number 2 train". The NYC subway doesn't stop in Jersey City.
- Goof (errors in geography): Fin states that the 2 trains run south from Riverdale (where a doctor performs castrations), but this is incorrect. The 1st train runs from Riverdale. The 2nd train runs from the Central Bronx - nowhere near Riverdale.
- Horace Gorman was based on John Jamelske, a millionaire serial rapist-kidnapper, who kept his victims in an underground "sex bunker."
- Mariska Hargitay's real-life father, Mickey Hargitay, appears in the episode "Control". He plays a man on an escalator, who is seen speaking to Mariska's character, Detective Benson.
