PLOT: The bomb is already aware of KITT's course; it's highly likely that it would also know his altitude and actual speed; therefore, the moment he entered the aircraft and his actual speed dropped to zero, it would have exploded.
CONT: The position of Sarah's hand on the bomb trigger changes between shots.
