MISTAKES/GOOFS

FAIR: In this episode the diagram that K.I.T.T. brings up for K.A.R.R. looks like a robot on four wheels. In the original show, which this show is supposed to be a sequel to, K.A.R.R. was almost identical to the first K.I.T.T. in every way. However, K.A.R.R. may simply have advanced it's transformation techniques to better reflect its programming and 'personality'.
CONT: When Michael is ushering Sarah toward the rear of the cargo bay after securing her parachute, within several seconds of the angle change away and back to the pair, Michael's own parachute changes from not on at all, to on and fully secured.
CONT: In the scene where KITT is about to explode Micheal Knight orders KITT to tell the pilot and co-pilot to bail out of the aircraft. About 5 seconds later KITT's self destruct is aborted, but nothing is said to the pilot's and even if it were standard practice is for the air crew to bail out as quickly as possible after the order is given, the pilots probably would have been out of the aircraft in 5-10 seconds.

TRIVIA

In this episode Dr. Graiman makes a reference to K.A.R.R. (Knight Automated Roving Robot) which was the first super car that Knight Industries built and was first seen in the episode Trust Don't Rust. Due to a programing malfunction K.A.R.R. was deactivated and put into storage. This resulted in the first K.I.T.T. being built. The two would face off at the end of the episode, resulting in K.A.R.R. jumping off a bridge in order to save itself from a head-on collision with K.I.T.T.. K.A.R.R. would later make a final appearance in the episode K.I.T.T. vs K.A.R.R., were the rogue super car was finally destroyed.
