The paintings used in the series are originals by Jeff Kober (Daedalus).
The series is loosely based on Vampire: The Masquerade, created by Mark Rein·Hagen, which was the first of White Wolf Game Studio's World of Darkness role-playing games.
The episode "Nightstalker" was never aired in the U.S. It was aired in Canada and other countries. The episode was eventually made available in the U.S. as part of the Kindred: The Embraced boxed videoset.
