Towards the end, after the death of Tanner Dodd, his mother turns on her new TV. A brief scene from the 1957 version of the film 3:10 to Yuma (1957) is showing. "3:10 to Yuma" is based on a story by Elmore Leonard, who also wrote the story "Fire in the Hole", the basis of the pilot.
