Summary: During a family outing, Dan finds himself alone with Zack when he feels a strong headache coming on. Dan travels back in time and begins tracking an ex-army ranger who hijacked a huge sum of money for a good cause. On the home front, Katie answers questions from the police after a robbery happens the night of her gala. Meanwhile, Dan entices Hugh with the prospect of getting a big break on a war story.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

DATE: In the beginning of the episode Dan goes back to 1975 where he helps McCleen who's stuck in a tree. But McCleen's parachute is of a model made 1979 or later. The parachute is connected to the harness with the 3-Ring system , which is a system that the skydiver uses to cut-away a malfunctioning chute. The 3-ring system was invented first in 1979 by William R. Booth.
FAKE: When Dan reaches the service station and meets Choung, the pen markings that he 'draws' on his arm to show Choung what Richie's tattoo looks like are clearly visible before he even puts the pen to his arm.

TRIVIA

The episode follows events similar to the real life story of "D. B. Cooper", a pseudonym given to a notorious aircraft hijacker who, on November 24, 1971, after receiving a ransom payout of $200,000, jumped from the back of a Boeing 727 as it was flying over the Pacific Northwest somewhere over the Cascades, possibly over Woodland, Washington. He used a built-in, stairway door which lowers from the bottom rear of the fuselage. He was never caught, however on February 10, 1980, an 8-year-old boy digging in the sand along a Columbia River bank unearthed three bundles of deteriorating currency whose serial numbers matched the Cooper loot. Boeing also retrofitted the 727 design so that under no circumstances could the rear door be opened during flight.
