- One of the few TV super heroes not derived from a comic book. However, D.C. Comics published a short-lived comic book during the show's second season. 30 years later, DC Comics acquired the rights to the character and created a new version who is a definite part of their regular comics universe, but as the consort of the seemingly reformed supervillain nemesis of Captain Marvel, Black Adam. This character was killed off, but the magic amulet is being used by a new host. As a tribute to the alter-ego of the original TV version of the character, the 2006-2007 comic book version was given the secret identity of Adrianna Tomaz.
- Because this show and Shazam! were both produced by the same company, there would often be crossover episodes with the characters of this show appearing on Shazam and vice-versa.
- In interviews, series star JoAnna Cameron has stated that she hated working with the black raven on the show and asked the producers several times if they could write him out of the script.
- According to series executive producer Lou Scheimer, the show was created because Filmation wanted to have a female counterpart to Captain Marvel (of Shazam!), but they wanted to own the character outright, rather than paying National Periodicals to license the Mary Marvel character.
- Predating such shows as Wonder Woman and The Bionic Woman, this is the first regular live action TV series with a super powered heroine as a lead or title character.
- Because classroom and campus scenes were filmed at an actual school, episodes were filmed during the summer so they wouldn't interfere with the school year.
- Raoul's Dreams of Flight mural was actually created by local artist David Rivas Botello in 1973. It was restored in 1996 and rededicated the following year.
