WWII has recently ended in Europe, and the people of the UK are awaiting the results of the 1945 general election. During this time, Churchill goes to France for a holiday with his wife. Through a series of flashbacks, Churchill recalls some of his most glorious moments during the war, and the effect it had on their deteriorating marriage. This is continuing of The Gathering Storm storyline.
