Summary: Freddie's in need of some guy time, so he tags along with Spencer to go fencing. Freddie's a natural, but things get complicated when Spencer gets him involved in a match with the amazing Doug Toder. Meanwhile, Carly has to plan a dinner for her weird relatives, the Dorfmans, and with Spencer busy fencing, she might not get much help. Sam reveals that she has never read a real book, and a bet begins between her and Freddie: can Sam finish a book?

MISTAKES/GOOFS

FACT: When Spencer tells Freddie how to fence, he tells him that the aim of using the saber is to land a touch. While this is one way of scoring a point, it is far more common to slash at your opponent to gain the point.

TRIVIA

When Sam is reading a book in the loft, if you look closely when the dust-jacket comes away from the book, you'll see that she is really reading ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’.
