Trivia
- Per the title, Superman played by George Reeves was the guest star. Superman is a fictional comic book superhero created by American writer Jerry Siegel and Canadian-born artist Joe Shuster in 1932, but first appearing nationally in Action Comics #1 (June 30, 1938) and has since appeared in various radio serials, animated and live action television programs, feature length films, movie serials, newspaper strips, and video games.
- George O'Hanlon who plays the part of Charlie Appleby is the actor who provided the voice of George Jetson in the cartoon series.
- The special guest star is always simply referred to as "Superman". Nowhere in the script does anyone actually say "George Reeves as Superman". (The ending voiceover originally gave credit to George Reeves, but it was removed in syndication.) It is believed that the intention was to avoid confusing children or "bursting their bubble" by letting them know that Superman was a fantasy character played by an actor.
- Madge Blake, who thinks she sees Superman on the ledge, would later play Aunt Harriet Cooper in the 1966-1967 Batman series.
