MISTAKES/GOOFS

FAKE: In Act 3, after Lucy is soused on the alcohol in the tonic, Ricky begins to sing a song on the "live" show. Lucy enters from the left, between scenery flats, and in the darkness behind her, you can see the Ricardo's apartment fireplace and mantle.
FAKE: You can hear Desi Arnaz's distinctive laugh offstage along with the audience as Lucy becomes more and more intoxicated.
CHAR: While Lucy does her "TV commercial" you can see Desi is trying very hard not to break character and laugh.

TRIVIA

Actress Vivian Vance does not appear in this episode. Ethel's absence is explained by the fact that she was visiting her mother.
This was Lucille Ball's personal favorite episode.
The Vitameatavegamin that Lucy drank was actually apple pectin.
Ross Elliott (I), who played the director, said of this episode: "I chewed the inside of my mouth out to keep from laughing out loud. Lucy would do new stuff that wasn't rehearsed, like an extra-funny face. Then, at one point, she became 'drunk' and started making eyes at me, flirting, and I almost broke up again".
