Mistakes/Goofs

  • Goof (continuity error): In "Slapsgiving" (3.9), Marshall sets the laptop on the dining table, showing his slap countdown clock, and telling Barney that the beeping signifies that they are in the final hour of the countdown. However, they briefly show the screen to read that there is still 2:45:19 (2 Hours, 45 Minutes, and 19 Seconds) left on the countdown.
  • Goof (continuity error): SPOILER: The first of Marshal's five slaps is at the end of "How I Met Your Mother" (2005) {Slap Bet (#2.9)}, but the first slap shown is actually the slap Marshall gave Barney when Ted told that Robin was married (earlier in the episode).

Trivia

  • This episode introduces the recurring gag of both Ted and Robin hearing a phrase or word that resembles a military rank, (eg. "I have this kernel stuck in my teeth"), then proceeding to salute and repeat what was said, as though addressing a military officer ("Colonel Stuckinmyteeth").
  • SPOILER: In this episode, Marshall uses his third out of free five slaps, which he won in "How I Met Your Mother" (2005) {Slap Bet (#2.9)}.
