Dr. James Wilson: [on the phone] Hello?... Uh, I don't know what department I want. I need... pants.
Dr. Gregory House: [to Cuddy about their first meeting] I was gonna come see you. Figure out where things would go from there. That was the morning I got the call from the Dean. And I was expelled from my first Med School. Didn't seem any point.

Mistakes/Goofs

  • Goof (continuity error): After delivering the paper at the conference, when Wilson and House are arguing on the patio, House's shirt collar is alternately inside the collar of his jacket and outside the jacket as House moves around the patio.
  • Goof (continuity error): A girl (patient) begins to swell drastically in her appendages. The camera focuses on her hands being quite swollen before the girl falls to the ground. As she hits the ground, the camera shot shows her hands exhibiting no swelling and completely normal.
  • Goof (factual errors): On the '10 Nation Tour' poster in the opening shot, Sydney is misspelt.

Trivia

  • At the 1980s dance party Dr. House wears 1780s suit and wig, a possible reference to Hugh Laurie's role as the Prince Regent in "Black Adder the Third" (1987).
