Summary: House is surprised when his ex-girlfriend, Stacy Warner, makes a visit. He's even more surprised when he finds out that she's not there to see him, but to get help for her ailing husband. As House debates over whether or not to take the case, Cuddy decides to make him a substitute lecturer to a class of medical students. While there, he weaves together three stories of patients who all have the same symptom. The lecture is one that the students, and all those who hear it, will never forget.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

FACT: House questions the students about what kind of snake could have bitten the farmer and says three venomous snakes are native to New Jersey: the copperhead, rattlesnake, and coral snake. Only the copperhead and timber rattlesnake inhabit New Jersey. The only places to find coral snakes in the United States are in the south: South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California.
FACT: When House asks the students what can cause urine to be brown-colored, one of them responds, "Waste." This is ambiguous to the point of being medically meaningless. Urine primarily contains nitrogenous "waste" in the form of urea, which is what gives it its characteristic yellow color. Humans also excrete feces as digestive "waste" and exhale carbon dioxide as respiratory "waste." There are literally countless examples of "waste" products and to say that the urine is turning brown because it has "waste" in it doesn't mean a thing.
