(Nov. 04, 2008)

Home Movies is one of the first [adult swim] animated cult classics. With an alcoholic soccer coach for a father-figure and a woman who swears during parent/teacher conferences for an actual mother, eight-year-old Brendon Small (voiced and created by Brendon Small, now of Metalocalypse fame) chronicles his life as a jaded third-grader who happens to have the brain of a twenty-something-and who uses his video camera to cope with the trials of his oddly precocious life.

The Home Movies Limited Edition Megaset includes 12 DVDs containing every single episode, commentary track and other bonus features found in the four original DVD box sets, as well as the 52-song CD included in the Season Four set. This deluxe box also includes two Home Movies items available nowhere else:

Home Movies - Season Four
(May. 16, 2006)

Home Movies is a cartoon about children who are more like adults made for adults who like cartoons. The series spotlights third-grader Brendon Small, a young filmmaker who writes, acts, directs and "co-executive produces" his "groundbreaking early work" along with his friends Melissa and Jason. The show also features Coach McGuirk, a youth soccer coach who hates soccer and isn’t all that crazy about youths.

The fourth and final season of this half-hour cult hit comedy contains some of its most memorable episodes - "Camp," guest-starring They Might Be Giants as crappy music camp counselors, Brendon, Jason and Melissa’s rock-opera opus/debacle "The Wizard’s Baker" and Brendon's visit to the dark side in the classic "Those Bitches Tried To Cheat Me." The only thing wrong with Home Movies is that there aren't any more to watch.

Contains all 13 episodes of Season Four – the last 13 episodes ever!

Also Includes:

Bonus Music CD - 52 Tracks - The Best Songs From All Four Seasons

Plus:

Fan Commentaries by The Shins, Modest Mouse and the staff of The Onion

Home Movies - Season Three
(Nov. 15, 2005)

"One of the funniest sitcoms anywhere on television." – Time

Home Movies is about a family, but Home Movies is not a family show. It’s got kids in it, but it is aimed squarely at adults. The series spotlights third grader Brendon Small, a young filmmaker who writes, acts, directs and "co-executive produces" his "groundbreaking early work" along with friends Melissa (age 8) and Jason (age 7). The show also features Coach McGuirk, a youth soccer coach who hates soccer and isn’t all that crazy about youths.

The third season of this half-hour cult-hit comedy towers as one of the greatest seasons in the history of television;. It includes the nearly flawless "Shore Leave" (which won an award at some festival), the fan favorite "Guitarmageddon," as well as the episodes "Storm Warning" and "Renaissance," which have some really funny parts.

Season Three represents an already great show truly hitting its stride. If you’re a fan of the show, then this season is a "must see." And if you’ve never seen Home Movies, this is a perfect place to start. Then work your way backwards.
