Band Member 1984-99, 2009-present
Born Nicholas Aitken, Wilbur Wilde first rose to prominence as a saxophonist with the bands Ol' 55 and Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons.
He went on to perform with some of the biggest names in music including Skyhooks, Elvis Costello, Tom Jones, Split Enz, Roy Orbison, Cold Chisel, Dire Straits and the Angels.
Then in 1984 Wilbur became a member of the house band on Hey Hey It's Saturday, where he stayed for 15 years.
He has made numerous other TV appearances throughout his career on shows including Flying Doctors, The Paul Hogan Show, Blankety Blanks, Getaway, Postcards and Spicks and Specks.
From 1992 to 1999, Wilbur toured with The New Rocky Horror Show. His CV also boasts a string of movie credits including Mad Max, Coolangatta Gold, Jenny Kissed Me, Cool Change and Star Struck.
Wilbur has also enjoyed an enduring career as a radio announcer with stints at stations 3XY, Gold 104 and Vega 91.5.
