Episode Quotes

Hiro Nakamura: You still do want to go?
Charlie: Yeah, oh yeah, no it's not that it's just um... ever since I met you, I don't know, you just make me so happy.
Hiro Nakamura: You make me happy too.
Charlie: Well it's more than that. I don't let people get very close. There's a blood clot in my brain, inches away from an aneurism. I'm dying.
Hiro Nakamura: But... , I'm supposed to save you.
Charlie: You did, you did. Before you got here I decided to give up. But you have made me feel more alive and more full of joy than I could ever have imagined. Hiro... aishiteru yo.
Janice Parkman: I don't know why you don't just tell them the truth.
Matt Parkman: Yeah, I'll just waltz in there and tell them I can barely read, half the words I see backwards. There's a good career move.
Hiro Nakamura: My name is Hiro Nakamura... I am here to save your life!
Sheriff: Hey Charlie! Charlie, come on over here and blow out the candle.
Charlie: Hold that thought, okay? I just got to make a wish. Come on.
Sheriff, Waitress Lynette: Come on.
Hiro Nakamura: Pretty please, listen. It's very important.
Sheriff: Say cheese.

Mistakes/Goofs

  • Goof (anachronisms): At Peter's graduation party, the song "Smile" by Lily Allen is played. This song was released in July 2006 and was therefore not available "six months before" when the episode takes place.
  • Goof (revealing mistake): The EEG monitor that Gabriel is hooked up to is scrolling way too fast, too fast to be interpreted live at least. EEG normally scrolls much slower, especially if real-time interpretations are to be made.

Trivia

  • The laptop given to Micah by his grandfather was purchased for the production of the show on eBay. It was worth approximately $1900 when it was new (which isn't far short of the $2000 stated by Micah's grandfather). However, AndoverCG Computer Liquidators, a company that provides specialized computer equipment for TV shows, bought it off eBay for $380. The laptop, in reality, does not actually work as it was sold for "parts."
  • Just before Niki/Jessica shows up at his house to confront him, Hal Sanders is reading "The Sirens of Titan," by Kurt Vonnegut.
  • When Hiro phones Ando and realizes he's talking to himself he hangs up and says "Gurehto Sukotto!" i.e. "Great Scott!", the favorite exclamation of Doc Brown, the inventor of the time machine in Back to the Future and, before him, of Perry White, editor of the Daily Planet in "Superman".
