Special Announcement
After announcing the show's cancellation NBC considered making a TV special event to better wrap up the series.
On September 9, 2010, NBC decided not to pursue any further development of the Heroes franchise. Tim Kring then suggested that the broad premise of Heroes' storylines allowed for the franchise to return for fans, but he did not specify when or in what media format.
