Mistakes/Goofs

Goof (factual errors): The broken gas pipe that McGarrett sees leaking is the wrong type of pipe for natural gas. The pipe shown was a solder type that had never been soldered. A natural gas pipe would have brass compression fittings to properly seal the joint under pressure.

Trivia

The title of the episode "Ua Hala" roughly translates as "A Death in the Family". This pays homage to the original Hawaii Five-O series as the last episode of Season 10, in which Chin Ho Kelly dies, is also titled "A Death in the Family".
