Brilliant show and enduring as evidenced by its status as the longest running television show in history. From it's early days in radio to the 30 minute and eventually hour color episodes, Gunsmoke continued to show originality of plot and strength of characterizations in the show's portrayals. Production values of the shows varied, but the overall aura of this western never did! |
