Rick and Mel reiterate their gratitude for what she and Richard have given to Rick, which makes Cassie feel even more awkward. Mel confides in Felicia that Richard’s death was not an accident. Despite Felicia’s advice, Mel plans to keep quiet about what she knows. Later, Reva tries to comfort Cassie, who was hit all over again by Richard’s death after spending time with Rick. Danny tells Michelle that she is doing the right thing by keeping quiet. Ed confronts her about what he knows about Richard’s life support being turned off and that he suspects that she was somehow involved. Michelle comes clean about her own suspicions and worries that Mel will get in trouble. Michelle and Ed decide that they must protect Mel at all costs. At the hospital, Charles questions Lillian about Richard’s death and decides to launch an investigation. Lillian runs to Ed and Michelle to warn them about Charles’ investigation and informs Michelle that she will be the first to be questioned. Meanwhile, Danny’s thugs are getting Edmund drunk. Much to his dismay, Carmen arrives and is thrilled to see Danny acting like a Santos and encourages her son to kill Edmund. Distraught by his mother’s pleasure, Danny gives Edmund one last chance to drop his quest for revenge, but Edmund refuses.
