Summary: In the fallout of Izzie's decision to quit the program, the interns try to help Izzie come to terms with the death of her fiancé, Denny. Meredith is forced to decide who will be the man in her future after her fling with Derek during the prom. Meanwhile, Dr. Webber is confronted by his wife after spending the night at the hospital; George asks an unlikely person for relationship advice; and Addison must find out which one of a group of teenaged girls is the mother of a baby found in a trashcan.

Mistakes/Goofs

Goof (factual errors): When Addison is talking to Richard about how to determine the real mother she said they could do a blood typing, that because the baby is 'double O' that if the girl is A or B she can't be the mother. This is untrue. The only way that it is not possible for her to be the mother is if she has AB blood type, as A blood can be comprised of AA or AO, same with B. If the A type blood is AO, then the mother could give that O gene to her baby.

Trivia

On September 21st, 2006, CTV, the Canadian network that airs Grey's Anatomy, accidentally broadcast the wrong episode - instead of airing the season premiere, they broadcast the second episode of the new season instead. The mistake made national news in Canada and generated some angry fan backlash, but was rectified a week later when the correct episodes were aired.
Every episode of the show is named after a famous song. "Time Has Come Today" is a song by The Chambers Brothers.
