The show is surprisingly good (i'm a dude). it follows the lives of a group of upper east-siders (New York).And explores social aspects pertaining to the rich and also gives perspective on the social hierarchy present in not only the lives of teenagers but also those of adults. The show develops the social relationships between the character and explores the common ups and downs of life. Watch if you like the O.C (i've never watched, but ppl say its similar) and also watch if you enjoy One Tree Hill. /	+14

crien Jan 30, 2008 7:47AM	The special. Is kind of silly. Just something to air because of the writes block. some unaired scenes. The cast telling us about the characters. Some bloopers at the end. And a whole lot of repeting same things throughout the episode. With that said. I have to say: that Gossip girl is great! I really love the show and I think it's something different :)	+8

But the show has well defined characters and even though the demographic is probably between 12-24 I believe the writing and show construct should be able to appeal to more people. I wish more books would be turned into shows if it can be this well transformed.	+4

I'm not sure if the producers will find more ideas to develop the show into the future seasons, but at the moment you don't really think about that. The plot is great. Characters are versatile. And the best part of the show i think is that it is not only about teens. Dan's parents, S.'s mom, B.'s parents etc. their stories enrich the show thus making it more fun to watch.	+4
