Show centers around the families of the classic Disney characters Goofy and Pete. Goofy, now as a widower, moves back to his hometown of Spoonerville with his 11-year-old son Max. As it happens, they end up moving in next door to Goofy's high school friend: Pete, his's wife Peg, and their two children, son P.J. and daughter Pistol.
