I was also on the fence about this show, but once I watched the first episode I was HOOKED... it has all the elements.. comedy, romance, drama, and just plain crazy... def is the show that will be replacing Desperate Housewives after the series ends this season... same sunday airing... i dont think this is a coincidence.. |

surprise - I actually liked it ! What I saw lets me expect a mixture of Desperate Housewives and Dallas. The "slight" southern accent will undoubtedly make it a little harder for none-native speakers and when they do export it, which will probably happen if the series makes it, all gets lost in translation. You don't really need to pay too close attention, which is fine by me. The pilot also lets us hope the plot will thicken quickly otherwise a quick death threatens. A little murder or similar might do the trick. The pilot was good entertainment and definetly more laughs (that is important!!) than some series labelled "comedy". No spoliers here, you have to watch one episode and then we'll see a lot of "Love it" and lot of "Hate it". |
