Going Straight was a BBC sitcom which emerged as a direct spin-off from Porridge, starring Ronnie Barker as prisoner Norman Stanley Fletcher, newly released from the fictional Slade prison where Porridge had been set. He returns home to find his wife gone and his daughter carrying on with Lennie Godber his cell-mate who was released some months earlier.
