Summary: A ghost who can recall his previous lives appears to be destined for another reincarnation as the child of Melinda's pregnant friend---but the spirit doesn't want to return and actively seeks to harm the unborn baby. The situation cools Jim's interest in starting a family, but it might be too late as Melinda begins to exhibit telltale symptoms.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

PLOT: Melinda says that when a person becomes a ghost, they are "free of affliction" and they become a "pure soul." But in the episode "Ghost Whisperer" (2005) {The Ghost Within (#2.4)} she deals with the ghost of an autistic man, who even in death shows signs of autism.
