Don Adams reprised his role as Max but he is now Chief of CONTROL. The still beautiful Barbara Feldon(Agent 99) is now a Congresswoman. Zach one of the Smart twins is now a Control Agent. Zach is even more of a bumbler than Max and is teamed with the gung-ho Agent 66 (Elaine Hendrix) who is forced to save Zach from himself many times as Agent 99 did before with his father.

The original series seasons 1-4 aired on NBC, season 5 aired on CBS, the 1989 reunion movie Get Smart, Again! (1989) (TV) aired on ABC, and this new series, as previously mentioned, aired on Fox. Since then, no other live-action television franchise has accomplished this feat.
