Full Recap
In King's Landing, Lord Eddard Stark wakes up after a period of time he laid unconscious due to his injury. He sees King and Queen next to his bad. When Cersei and Eddard start arguing, Robert commands Ned to release Tyrion and make peace with Jaime. Ned says that Jaime fled the city and he demands to go to bring him back to justice. Cersei belittles King’s integrity and he slaps her and orders her to leave.

Robert tells Ned to send a raven and restore the peace because he can’t rule the Kingdoms if two major families are at each other’s throats. He confides to him that he is brother he chose (unlike his blood brothers he never loved) and restores Ned to the position of King's Hand. Robert is leaving the Throne to him while he goes on a hunt.
In Vaes Dothrak, Daenerys is admiring her dragon eggs. Even thou they are only stone fossils now, she putts them onto a fire in hope that they might hatch. Irri enters the tent and Daenerys’ instinct makes her grab the egg. Irri scared that khaleesi might get burned grabs the egg from her. But, Daenerys is completely unharmed and Irri’s hands are burned.

Episode Quotes
Lysa Arryn: You wish to confess your crimes?
Tyrion Lannister: Yes, My Lady. I do, My Lady.
Lysa Arryn: The Sky cells always break them. Speak, Imp. Meet your gods as an honest man.
Tyrion Lannister: Where do I begin, my lords and ladies? I'm a vile man, I confess it. My crimes and sins are beyond counting. I have lied and cheated, gambled and whored. I'm not particularly good at violence, but I'm good at convincing others to do violence for me. You want specifics, I suppose. When I was seven I saw a servant girl bathing in the river. I stole her robe. She was forced to return to the castle naked and in tears. If I close my eyes, I can still see her tits bouncing. When I was 10 I stuffed my uncle's boots with goatshit. When confronted with my crime, I blamed a squire. Poor boy was flogged and I escaped justice. When I was 12 I milked my eel into a pot of turtle stew. I flogged the one-eyed snake. I skinned my sausage. I made the bald man cry into the turtle stew, which I do believe my sister ate. At least I hope she did. Once I brought a jackass and a honeycomb into a brothel...
Lysa Arryn: Silence!
Robin Arryn: What happened next?
Lysa Arryn: What do you think you're doing?
Tyrion Lannister: Confessing my crimes.
Lysa Arryn: Lord Tyrion, you are accused of hiring a man to slay my son Bran in his bed, and of conspiring to murder my sister's husband, Lord Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King.
Tyrion Lannister: Oh, I'm very sorry. I don't know anything about all that.
Tyrion Lannister: Yes, My Lady. I do, My Lady.

Cersei Lannister: [Robert has struck her across the face] I shall wear this as a badge of honor.
Robert Baratheon: Wear it in silence or I'll honor you again.
Robert Baratheon: Wear it in silence or I'll honor you again.
Sansa Stark: [talking about Joffrey] I don't want someone brave and gentle and strong. I want him.
Mistakes/Goofs
- Goof (factual errors): While pure gold requires 1064.18 °C (1947.52 °F) to melt - a temperature not achievable in a simple campfire - many gold alloys melt at considerably lower temperatures. Pure gold is almost never used in jewelry because it is much too soft, so we can assume Khal Drogo's gold is alloyed. Hence the fact that it melts is not a goof. However it does melt extremely quickly over the course of just a few seconds and that is not realistic. You cannot even melt the equivalent amount of chocolate that fast in a campfire.
- Goof (continuity error): When Robb is fighting off the bandits, his sword's blade is already bloodied before he's able to cut anyone down, though the blade was clean when he removed it from the scabbard.
Trivia
- When Viserys Targaryen tries to steal the dragon eggs, he mocks Ser Jorah Mormont who blocks his path by saying "And yet here you stand", to which Mormont replies "And yet here I stand." According to semi-canon sources, "Here We Stand" is the motto of House Mormont. It is not clear whether this is an intentional reference.
- SPOILER: According to the novel, Bronn killed Ser Vardis Egen without throwing him out of the Moon Door. The Moon Door was also not located in the floor, but rather was a side door.
