- At the end Bigfoot walk off in to the trees in a fairly accurate imitation of the famous Patterson-Gimlin film from the mid 20th Century.
- The alien's abduction pipe effect is a spoof of the Windows' screen saver, 3D Pipes.
- The alien message on screen translates as: "Thanks for watching, Futurama slave army!"
- The name of the alien sex shop that the crew visits, "The Beast with Two Bucks: $1.99 Sex Shop," is a reference to a part in the play "Othello," written by William Shakespeare where the character Iago refers to the act of sex as "making the beast with two backs."
