Summary: After a Beastie Boys Heads concert at Madison Cube Garden, Bender goes on a bender and gets hooked on power surges. His life begins a downward spiral until he finds salvation at the Temple of Robotology. Having found religion, his polite behavior becomes so irritating to his friends that they begin to tempt him with his old vices. When he finally succumbs and returns to his old ways, he is banished to Robot Hell where, in a musical extravaganza, he faces the Robot Devil and endures tortures unimaginable to man.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

CONT: Bender gets a symbol welded on to his body. When he welds something on to the spaceship, the symbol disappears, but reappears in the next scene.
CONT: During the musical number, the Robot Devil pulls Bender's arm off and promptly kicks him down a hole. However when Bender lands his arm is still attached.

TRIVIA

First appearance of the Robot Devil.
Dan Castellaneta, the voice of Homer in The Simpsons, provides the voice of Beelzebot, the robot Devil. When Fry and Leela open the door to "Robot Hell", in the bottom right side of the screen there is a heart with an arrow through etched on the wall, reading "H.S 4 M.B", meaning Homer Simpson 4 Marge Bouvier, from "The Simpsons" (1989).
The skit when Leela duels Robot devil in a fiddle contest is based on the song "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" by Charlie Daniels Band, in which the devil challenges a boy named Johnny to a fiddle contest and if Johny won he would get a solid gold fiddle.
