"A proper conclusion"... I'll keep in mind that it's a JJ Abrams' show and that he tends to leave his endings open (and wild). Although Alias' end was a real one (in my opinion), Lost's was a bit far-fetched (I really liked it, but I know it was dissapointing for many people, since the promise of an all-revealing ending we were given as the show was being cancelled seemed to be a lie, at the time ).
Anyway, I am quite glad that I get to see another season of Fringe. I am getting used to seeing great shows getting cancelled after too few seasons, without warning. At least this time I'll know not to keep my hopes up for a renewal !

my first response was NO WAY it can't be, dear writer why R U doing this to as ur amazing as we no SO why now. ?_<, but after thinking it's actually batter so i/we can remember FRING as at awesome ( sill sad a little bit )

I'm actually glad this will be the final season and that they get the chance to write a proper conclusion - at this point things are already so chaotic with all the parallel universes, alternate time-lines, doppelgangers and whatnot, I can't really see this going on for another 3 seasons, they'd just jump the shark rather sooner than later.
As much as I love this show, 5 seasons are a great amount already and I can't wait for the probably mind blowing conclusion. Which will hopefully have an somewhat happy ending. 8)
