Episode Quotes
 | Season 2 / Episode 1: - A New Day in the Old Town
Peter Bishop: Olivia, I need to ask you something. Agent Olivia Dunham: Sure. Peter Bishop: 'Einai Kalytero Anthropo Apo Ton Patera Toy' - you said that to me, just after you woke up. Do you remember? Agent Olivia Dunham: No. Latin? Peter Bishop: Mmm-mm. Greek. My mother used to say that to me every night before I went to bed. Agent Olivia Dunham: [laughs] There really isn't a point where things just can't get weirder, is there? What does it mean? Peter Bishop: It means, be a better man than your father. Walter was already gone. It was like a code between my mother and me. It meant keep your people close. Take care of the people you care about. Agent Olivia Dunham: Well, you're good at that. |

MISTAKES/GOOFS
- FAIR: SPOILER: In the finale, the Shape Shifter kills Francis, hides him in the laundry, and takes his form. The Shape Shifter shows the team the dead Nurse - its previous form - to convince them that the Shape Shifter is dead. Where did the dead Nurse come from? Presumably after the Shape Shifter killed the nurse and took her form, the Shape Shifter concealed her body in the laundry too. Then after killing Francis and taking his form, the Shape Shifter only had to swap Francis' corpse for that of the Nurse. The Shape Shifter presumably has a dramatically different biology to that of a normal human, however the team have no way of knowing this for sure, so may not realize anything is amiss if they autopsy the Nurse's body and find she's human.
- CHAR: Agent Jessup uses the incorrect biblical book abbreviation. The New Testament passage "Tests" is from First Letter from John and not the Gospel According to John. She used Jn4:1 when she should have used 1Jn4:1.
- CONT: In Olivia's hospital room when the nurse interrogates her, the nurse's ID badge moves from behind her sweater, to its front, and then behind it again with each change in the camera's point of view during their conversation.
TRIVIA
- There are a number of references to "The X Files" (1993). One reference is during the Senate hearing, which itself occurred a number of times during the series run, the committee chairman refers to the defunct "X" division of the FBI.
- The Observer may be seen crossing the bottom of the screen from right to left in the beginning just below the crashed black SUV.
