MISTAKES/GOOFS

CONT: When Ross and Phoebe are in the bar, Ross sets out shot glasses in a cluster. In the next shot, they are perfectly lined up. Shortly after, they are in a cluster again.
CONT: In this episode, Ross finds out Carol is a lesbian and they break up. It is also stated that Rachel is marrying Barry in one year. If this is the case, there is no way Carol could have just found out she was pregnant with Ross' baby in the first episode, as it would have been a year after they'd stopped having sex.
PLOT: Throughout the earlier seasons little mention is made of Monica/Rachel/Ross and Chandler's relationships prior to the start of the series, this is clearly something added in later. For example in a flashback episode Rachel remembers meeting Chandler in a bar (which is now Central Perk) and she fantasizes about kissing him, however they should have recognized each other from all the Thanksgivings they spent together in the late 80's. In a later flashback we also see Chandler and Rachel kissing at a college party. Also in the Pilot episode Rachel obviously remembers Ross but there is no mention of her having met Chandler before.
CONT: In this episode, Joey implies that he thinks that Chandler is gay, but in the episode "The One Where Nana Dies Twice" he and Ross say that neither of them thought Chandler was gay when they met him.
FAKE: Joey removes his clothes in Monica's apartment and is being covered by a lamp. For a moment you can see the top of a pair of shorts that he's wearing.

TRIVIA

"The One With The Flashback" (episode #3.6), was partly the idea of the cast to see how audience responded to certain couplings, the main one of these being Rachel and Chandler. The audience didn't like seeing these two together, so they never were.
