Summary: The Panthers prepare for the State Championship game, but rumors about Coach Taylor's new coaching job at TMU puts doubts in the minds of the Dillion citizens and players. The team gets ready to go up against their former teammate, star quarterback Voodoo Tatum. As the Panthers take the field for the biggest game of the season, and possibly their lives, Tami makes a shocking, yet happy announcement to Taylor.

MISTAKES/GOOFS
- CONT: During the state championship game, in the second half when the Dillon team is making its comeback, there is a fumble recovered by a Dillon defender wearing #90, who begins to run toward the end zone. The camera cuts away, then cuts back to show the touchdown being scored instead by #39.
- GEOG: The Austin skyline is shown when Coach Taylor walks onto the Dallas hotel balcony.
