[show]The scene of the murder, the General Wayne Inn, was in the process of being converted into a Jewish Community Center at the time of the episode's shooting. After getting approval for the episode, producers had to race to the location to get video of historic inn before it was radically changed. Within 2 weeks of the shooting, the building was virtually unrecognizable. During the scene where the two detectives are searching outside for the gun, the crew could only shoot one side of the building - the others were already blocked with scaffolding and construction equipment.
