This show makes you think. And feel. Unlike the typical cop show, this one carefully lays out all the mistakes that each person makes, sometimes the police included. You *know* that things are not going to end well and that sometimes circumstances just aren't going to let everyone walk away. At the same time, the stories are NOT pat. Although there don't seem to be many plot twists, sometimes good things happen in bad situations. I watch this show because I enjoy the characters and the way they think. That they try to get out of the situation, not just end the situation. I do find it to be depressing sometimes; but most cop shows do. Dealing with the pain and suffering of mankind everyday is not fun (and I'm not entirely sure why people are so obsessed with crime/cop shows). |

And now for a completely opposite review... :@) This one is not the usual' shoot everything that moves' kind of show, but more of a thinking show. It is the fine balance between fiction and reality that draws my attention. w00t! more good news! CTV confirmed renewal for season02! Flashpoint will resume shooting in Toronto in early 2009, with new episodes arriving next season. |

This one wont last absolute rubbish not even worth the title flash in the pan. Poorly written poorly acted plots are absolutely inane I give 2 thumbs down and to big toes down, give it 2 more episodes and it will wither into a trivia question |
