  • Goof (errors made by characters, possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): In the episode Junk Food, Mushmouth says, "The whole 39 cents!" in Dumb Donald's voice.
  • The series was originally offered to NBC but the network turned it down because it was too educational. It aired on CBS. NBC eventually aired repeats of the series in 1989.
  • The characters are based on Bill Cosby and his childhood friends when grew up in North Philadelphia. Cosby talked about his childhood experiences in his stand-up comedy albums.
