Summary: Steve needs to beat a guy at a rope climbing contest in order to woo Laura, but the person he's going against is the best rope climber in the school. Steve needs to use his brain in order to defeat him; this means using one of his inventions.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

FACT: Carl and the family are reading a vacation brochure in the living room during a rain storm. The roof begins leaking and water starts dripping on the brochure. This is impossible because the house is a two story. The leaking roof would drip the water on the floor of the 2nd story. Also when Eddie falls through the roof, he would not have landed on the couch, because again, it’s a 2 story house.

TRIVIA

In its original airing on ABC, the ending gag (Urkel crashing through the Winslows' roof and off into the night when his jet pack goes haywire) crossed over with the ABC series "Step by Step." The gag - excised from syndicated episodes and ABC Family airings - ended with Urkel crashing on the Lamberts' lawn in Port Washington, Wis.
