MISTAKES/GOOFS

FACT: When Peter sings to the troops the Flag patch on his shoulder is backwards, on U.S. military uniforms the flag on the right shoulder appears with the stars in the upper right corner and the stripes on the left to symbolize that America never runs away.
FACT: Even though Peter was born in Mexico, as the child of a U.S. citizen, he would be granted dual-citizenship by law and would be required to renounce one or the other upon reaching the age of 18.
FAKE: The supposedly Portuguese immigrants have Brazilian accents.

TRIVIA

Peter hires Michael McDonald (I) to do backing vocals for everything he and his friends say while on border patrol. This is a reference to McDonald having done backing vocals for tons of musicians over the years, so much so that he is largely better known for it than his own output. Artists he has done backing vocals for include (but are not limited to) Christopher Cross, Kenny Loggins, and Steely Dan.
The title for this episode is "Family Guy" in Spanish.
