Summary: Meg sets her family up on a talk show after they embarrass her during a slumber party. However, their wacky antics are seen on live television, and a network executive thinks they would make great reality TV. He gets Peter to sign a contract, that will make their lives a reality TV show called "the Real Live Griffin's". After a few days Meg can't stand it anymore, and quits the show, moving in with the neighbors. She is replaced with a 'perky' blond girl, who steals the spotlight from the rest of the family, making them realize how dumb the whole situation really is. The entire family is re-cast, and forced to move into a motel.

MISTAKES/GOOFS

FACT: At the end of the episode, when Peter is holding the Bible, the title of the book is on the wrong side. This is because the show is animated in Korea, where they read right to left, rather than left to right. Mentioned on the commentary.
FAKE: While walking into Quagmire's kitchen, Meg's toothbrush disappears from her left hand in one frame.
CONT: Peter falls through the stairs and is trapped. Next he is in the bedroom having splinters removed with Meg complaining, when we pan down to the slumber party the stairs are intact.
CONT: As revealed by DVD commentary, the Korean animators often draw books to read right to left instead of left to right.

The title is based on the quote by the late artist Andy Warhol ("In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes.") about the flighty tastes of people and popular culture.
